I was looking for a $5000 loan to get things caught up and stay ahead through the holidays. Since I had completed my bankruptcy in full in April of 2006 my credit was terrible around 643 at that time.
I searched for all sources and got an reasonable offer from this company. Having no one to cosign I went with the option to prepay $958, the first 4 months payments. My credit had been reviewed everything was finalized, and after speaking with Travis Hoffman and a Mr. Applebaum several times to make sure no problems would occur, I finalized the loan sending the last documents and western unioned the payment. I spoke with Mr. Hoffman and was informed he had received all my documents along with my payment and my money would arrive at 6am no later than 8am est the next day in my account.
Needless to say no money arrived. I contacted Mr. Hoffman and was told they were having problems electronically depositing money into my account. I called my bank and spoke with the manager not only had they not deposited they were trying to debit that account. She verified there was no way if they were depositing money it would be blocked from entering my account. I again spoke with Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Applebaum and was informed I would need to send an additional $550 to get the money sent to my house. After telling them I had spoken with the bank and she said to call her and they could finish the transaction in minutes, the story changed to my credit report had changed and I would need to send the additional $550 because of that which is again another lie since my credit hasn't changed since my bankruptcy was paid off.
I am turning my information over to Navy Legal and NCIS for further investigation. After informing them of this they said they would send me back my money but it would take a week or more to get it to me. Now given that it only took me 15 minutes to send it via western union seems like more lies. I only hope these two gentlemen have led a full life and are happy with it to this point.
