Purchased a Rheem Water Heater https://www.rheem.on.ca/ at Home Depot on Monday October 13, 2008 at https://www.homedepot.ca the Water Heater was installed today October 14, 2008 by a certified contractor.
The Hot Water was determined by the certified contractor not to be working at all, so we decided to contact there service call in center at 1-800-431-1549. and advised them of the problem.
The person at the call in center said to please not return the water tank at home depot and that they would have someone out to fix the water tank within 48 hours.
They advised us that we need to pay for it to be fixed.
The Water Heater Warranty is good for 9 years and 1 Year Full Warranty from the date of the original purchase and it reads.
We will provide at our option:
Repair or replacement of any part of the water heater that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During the one (1) year full warranty, we will also provide, free of charge, all labour and in-home service we determine is necessary to change-out a defective part or replace a leaking tank.
