I recevied a letter in the mail informing that I have been selected through a computer ballot system. And that my name was attached to ticket number 60087-6045, it even gave a serial number, Ref: No. and the actual lottery numbers that were choosen.
Then it stated that the prize money would be shared among 17 international winners in this category. And CONGRATUALTIONS! It said that the check that was enclosed with this mailing was an assistance check ($2, 996.80) to enable you fiance the international clearance fees.
My clearance fee (which was the check enclosed) should be remitted to our designated North American Agent. I would first have to depsoit that check that was mailed to me in my bank then once it cleared I would immediately withdrawl that money that was deposited into my account and go get a money gram and then send it to my agent, then I was to call back or wait for my agent to call back with a confirmation number and the last step was to wait for the check of $80, 199.90 in the mail and I had to be at home to get the check if I really wanted it or it would go back.
Well, I followed all the steps as advised by the lady that I spoke to on the phone (which was Gloria Edwards). Well. I did all the steps. After deposting the money in my account, my bank let me know about seven days later that the check had cleared so I then went and got the money gram and send it to my so called agent Maybelle Jones in Canada.
I finally after a couple of days calling back I finally got a confirmation number. But the next day I got a call from my bank saying that the check was no good and that it was fraud even after they said that it had cleared. The check came back marked refer to maker.
Well, in all my so called agent just profited $2, 830 on my exspense plus $59 for the cost of the money gram. I am now resposbile to my bank and me alone since this is a scam in the amount of $2, 996.80. I am a poor christian lady who has very minimal work who lives off of $700.00 per month and now I don't know how I am going to pay this much less live.
I do not get any assistance with my living other than what I get out and work for. I would appreciate any help that can be offered and I dont think it is fair that my bank cleared the check but then now I have to pay it back.
It is like they just stole $3, 000 from me I do not know how I am going to pay it back becasue I dont have any money.
Please pray for me in that God would help me in this awful situation.
