This company will never be used again by me, but the way the owner did my taxes I really don't think he cared anyways. After going to meet for the first time and informing that this was my first time using an accountant, he gave me a sheet to fill out and sent me back home, not stating anything, it would have been nice to stay longer and ask questions, but
1. I am new to this and don't know what questions to ask.
2. He rushed me out of his home office stating he had other things to do.
I filled out the form and emailed it to him as requested and days later I get a phone call asking where the form was and I had to remind him it was emailed.
He took weeks to do nothing and when I called he informed me that other customers had come in and he needed to tackle their work... How do you make clients when you treat people like that? If I was there first you tackle mine first plain and simple. Letting others walk in and take my place shows such disrespect to customer service.
When he did decide to tackle my work (on weekends) he kept calling asking stupid questions making me question his qualifications and ability to read. He then finished my return and I ended up owing more than expected and more than he quoted.
I then asked for a break and he tried to justify the hundreds I had to dish out for him to simply copy and paste the information I had given him. I am convinced he did a poor job on my return as the information I gave him in the exact categories he asked me to fill, were all out of whack, he short changed my expenses by over $1, 000 making it seem as though I didn't spend as much as I originally did, and did not go back the years I had provided him with my expenses.
I now have to file an appeal to correct his mistake.
If you are contemplating using ABM financial I would recommend going to someone who will actually help you, treat you like a person and not ask you to do half the work then request hundreds or more as a payment.
