Ripp off lottery

I received a check in the mail the other day in the amount of 2, 995.80, along with it come a letter stating i had won an international lottery.

i was suppose to take the check, cash it and then wire them the funds to release 125, 000 dollars.

i was smart enough to investigate this on the internet before cashing the check, and all adresses were bogus. it tells you to call a phone number as well to speak to your personal agent, but that was bogus as well. It is one big rippoff scam.

i notified the bank the check was drawn on and then took the check and letter to my local police department.

beware if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
