On November 6, 2009, Lake Shore Gold completed a business combination transaction through which it acquired the outstanding common shares of West Timmins Mining Incorporated Through this transaction, Lake Shore Gold has created a new large-scale, wholly-owned mining complex along the western extension of the Timmins Mine Trend, the Timmins West Gold Mine Complex. The Complex includes the Timmins Mine, the consolidated Thunder Creek property and an additional 120 square kilometres of highly prospective exploration land. The Company has also added an attractive land package in Mexico in addition to its extensive exploration properties in Timmins and other parts of Northern Ontario and Quebec. Lake Shore Gold s common shares trade on the TSX under the symbol LSG. Under terms of the business combination agreement, shareholders of West Timmins Mining Incorporated receive 0.73 of a Lake Shore Gold share for every share of West Timmins Mining.
