Board of Directors Our Board of Directors is comprised of eight Members who are seasoned greenhouse growers or senior managers of other agricultural enterprises. They have considerable expertise in all aspects of energy management. Rob Bigley, Vice-President Director of Canadian Operations, Yoder Canada Rob was born and raised in Leamington, Ontario and has been working at Yoder Canada since 1976. He started in the soil room and after many different positions in the company, now sits in the board room having held the position of Director of Canadian Operations since 2006. His knowledge of the floral greenhouse industry is extensive and has been gained by several years of experience and mentoring. He serves on the Board of Directors of Yoder Canada. Over the year s Rob has been a very active member in local community & church organizations. Anthony Lanni, Director Vice President, Beaverbrook Group of Companies Anthony is primarily engaged in the development of residential and commercial properties across North America for Beaverbrook, a family owned firm based in Toronto. With responsibility for Project and Corporate performance, as well as management of Treasury and Development functions, Anthony is involved in all facets of the development process. After graduating with a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2000, Anthony joined the New York office of a global investment bank where he developed debt and equity solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Anthony is the treasurer of Ontario Flower Growers Holdings Limited and is Special Advisor to The Stephanie Lanni Foundation. Burkhard was born in Germany, where he attained an agricultural apprenticeship and an engineering degree from Nuertigen Agricultural University. He was Project Engineer and Manager for ABG Management working on three greenhouse projects and an agricultural co-operative in Slovakia, as well as a large pork farm in Germany. He then started ABG Slovensko, a subsidiary of ABG Management. Here his role as VP of Acquisition drove the development and implementation of an agricultural task force formed to ensure aggressive expansion of large scale agriculture. Upon immigration to Canada in 1996, Burkhard started Metzger Consulting, managing the construction of four large scale greenhouse operations in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Arizona USA. He has served as Director of the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Marketing Board, Property Section Chair of the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and Member of the the Canadian Agri Food Research Council. He is currently part owner and President of Suntastic Hothouse in Exeter, ON, a vegetable growing facility standing at 34 acres with 12MW of biomass heating. He is also active with various national airplane pilot associations and Clydesdale clubs. William Ravensbergen, President General Manager, P. Ravensbergen & Sons Ltd William grew up in his grandfather s floral greenhouse business near Smithville. He graduated as a Horticultural Technician in 1992 from Niagara College and has been General Manager at Ravensbergen since 1997.
