Initially, UDEC s mandate was to provide high quality third party service and warranty repair for computer peripherals and controllers. In 1993 UDEC purchased a well known Markham-based, computer module repair and exchange company CMX International with an established customer base across Canada and the USA. This highly sophisticated computer repair facility and the expert technical staff also merged with UDEC. In 1990 UDEC purchased the field service operations of Genamation Incorporated, a medium-sized 16 year old Canadian computer distributor. Genamation s existing field service and technical staff merged with UDEC.
