Warren Fertig started selling trailers in 1967 from his Arabian horse farm 2 miles north of Red Deer. At that time the farm was a very active Arabian breeding farm (Allan Dale Arabians) and today Warren is still active in the Arabian business. The trailer business grew and in 1975 Allan Dale Industries Limited was incorporated. In 1988 Warren was joined by his son Allan and together they have grown to become one of the largest leading trailer dealerships, not only in Canada, but North America. The trailer business outgrew the family farm and in 2001 Warren & Allan moved their dealership 2 miles south building a 1st Class, 27,000 sq. ft. facility located on 15 acres. Today Allan Dale has an outstanding team of 25 employees, many long term, offering sales, a full parts & service department and a professional finance/lease department capable of acquiring terms suitable to our customer s needs. Allan Dale was one of the first dealerships in Canada to introduce the all aluminum trailer. In June of 1983 Allan Dale became the first Featherlite dealer in Canada. The Featherlite product has been the major contributing factor in the success of Allan Dale. Featherlite started manufacturing aluminum trailers in 1973 and over the many years have built a diverse product line with a high pursuit of quality. For a number of years Allan Dale has been in the top 5 dealers in North America and in 2006 Allan Dale received Featherlite s "Top Gun Award" being recognized as the largest Featherlite dealer in North America. Warren & Allan feel very fortunate to be associated with such a visionary company as Featherlite as they ve always been on the leading edge of introducing new product lines to the industry. In 1998 Allan Dale expanded their product line to include Haulmark. Haulmark product offers a huge variety of enclosed cargo, motorcycle, snowmobile, vending, jobsite and car trailers topped off with their breathtaking Haulmark Motorcoach and matching stackers. Absolutely stunning best describes the Motorcoach. Allan Dale for the last 8 years has been one of the top 10 Haulmark dealers. In 2007 Allan Dale won Haulmark s "Dealer of the Year Award" being recognized as the largest selling dealer in North America. In 2002 Allan Dale also started carrying Logan Coach. Although a smaller manufacturer, they have specialized over the years in horse trailers, cargo trailers, motorcycle trailers and now specialty trailers. Their product offers many features that differentiate their trailers highlighted by the fact that although it s not all aluminum that the minimal amount of steel that is used is 100% galvanized. In 2001 Allan Dale added Big Tex Trailers to their lineup. Big Tex is the largest manufacturer in the world of flatdeck trailers so their fit into Allan Dale s inventory is extraordinary with having such a variety of affordable flatdecks available for the consumer.
