Welcome to the Datum Inc. website. We re in the business of making ultralight and homebuilt builders and owners enjoy their past time more - we sell success! Because of our 15 years of experience building homebuilt aircraft, we also help aircraft homebuilders do it more safely. Since 1992 we ve been providing first quality products and services from one end of Canada to the other. I m Jean-Marc Auge, the president of Datum Inc. I speak French, English and some Spanish and love to talk about airplanes. Over the past decade and a half I have built 25 homebuilt aircraft, including Lazairs, Kit Foxes, Cavalier, a Tundra and 18 Challengers. I ve also consulted on many other homebuilt projects so, if you need help with your homebuilt project, I m your man. We ve just completed this project for Bruce Viele. We re pretty proud of it and so is Bruce. To see photos of the airplane, click here. We ve just completed load tests on our new, 72" composite skis. They re capable of supporting 5000lbs. Perfect for a 2500lb aircraft, this new ski package has the same high-quality composite soles, electric actuators and stainless steel hardware as our smaller ski packages. This one, however, can handle 18d x 8.25w tires.
