English Online is a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of English as an Additional Language (EAL) community in an online learning system. We are currently seeking volunteers interested in becoming an e-tutor (see job descriptions below). English Online Incorporated s mission is to develop an online EAL learning system that serves the English learning needs of immigrants across Manitoba, linking learners with new and existing online EAL learning resources, EAL institutions, Immigrant Service Organizations and community groups to improve access to effective EAL learning. Our volunteer initiative starts this summer, 2010. You are the first group of volunteers with English Online Incorporated and your work with learners is highly valued and respected. Volunteer involvement is vital to our organization and meeting the needs of our clients. English Online Incorporated believes that our volunteers strengthen our local and provincial community. Language is vital to the success of our learners integration into society. We are a small non-profit (2 staff, 2 e-facilitators) with over 700 learners. As the first group of volunteers with English Online Incorporated you are not only helping immigrants to Manitoba, but you are also nurturing and growing a volunteer model for English Online.
