When renting a condo from Blue Mountain Chalets from 23-30 July 2004, I was required to pay a $500 security deposit on top of the rental in case of damage to the property and outstanding phone calls. This $500 was supposed to be returned to me within four weeks of leaving the condo. As there was no damage to the condo and I did not make any phone calls, this money was supposed to have been returned to me. Eleven weeks later, I am still trying to get my money. The Accounting Department of Blue Mountain Chalets does not answer the phone, nor do they return messages left on their answering machine. This is totally unacceptable. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I guess my next step will be to lay a formal charge with the Ontario Provincial Police for either fraud or theft.
