Highridge Services Inc., Fidelity International Lotto, Sheila Harris & David Brown
Sent me a check for $4, 775.00 with instructions to western union $2, 970.00 to an account in Canada

Received an envelope today with no return address and first class postage from Canada. Inside was a letter from Highridge Services Inc. A company claiming to be affiliated with Fidelity International and in charge of dispersing sweepstakes winnings. In addition to the letter was a check for $4, 775.00 dollars drawn on First Sound Bank of Seattle Washington. I read the letter 3 times and took a magnifying glass to the check.

The letter instructed me to make contact with a claims agent by the name of David Brown before cashing the check for instructions. I did. I was then instructed to deposit the check into my account and call back for further instructions. Smelled fishing! I called First Sound Bank and was informed that the account was real but the account number had been stolen and that these checks, though real, were forged and no good.

Wow, these are some brazen thieves... none of the usual tell tale signs... except these; no return address and a check in first class mail, asking a payment be returned instead deducting it themselves, and finally, when the guy answers the phone he says, "hello? " As if he's unsure or something. Everything else seemed professional. Sad, with times so tuff we just want to believe... thank GOD for the Holy Spirit and common sense!
