I recieved a letter in the mail saying that I won $68, 000 and enclosed was a check of $3, 175.00 to cover processing fees with a phone number to call for information. I called and a lady answered and said to deposit the check into your account and wait for it to clear and when it does call her back to discuss processing fees and fedex will deliver the rest of the money.
The check did not clear and my bank account ended up as a negative amount posted on the check including the processing fees that the bank require in order to cash the check itself.
I have been calling the number back to retreive information about the check and yet no one has been answering or returning my phone calls. All I get is the answering machine in which I cannot leave a message because it is saying that the inbox is full.
