IPS Packaging has hired five full-time sales positions, two interns as well as one promotion to customer service. The packaging distribution company recently opened an office and distribution center in Memphis, Tn. The expansion requires IPS Packaging to take on employees to cover the new incoming business. The recruits are Misty Hawkins, Amanda Sligh, Neal Merritt, Andy Rawl, Jennifer Whitmore, John Opdycke, Hunter Mize and Jordan Mize. Hawkins, originally from Georgia, has a degree in Information Technology and will be joining Business Development of tape products. She brings three years of distribution sales experience and six years of experience in financial planning to the IPS Packaging inside sales team. Sligh comes from a marketing background and looks forward to expanding her career in the sales industry. Sligh graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2007. A graduate of The Citadel, Merritt has over a year of outside sales experience. Merritt will be in Government sales. Merritt states that he enjoys building customer relationships and taking care of their needs. Rawl, a Charleston, Sc. native, graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Political Science. Since 1987 Rawl has been involved in both inside and outside sales in the industrial industry. Whitmore received her B.A. from North Greenville University and has been with IPS Packaging since June 2009. Whitmore has recently joined the customer service department and will be continuing her hard work and dedication to the company. Opdycke has over seven years of both inside and outside sales experience. Opdycke has degree from Clemson University and looks forward to bringing persistence and hard work to the IPS inside sales team. Hunter and Jordan Mize have been added to the IPS Packaging team as interns in the New Media department. The Mize brothers are currently attending The Citadel, both working towards a Business degree. "We re excited about our new additions to the company. We re making investments today for tomorrow s growth," said Brad Murdock, sales manager, IPS Packaging.
