Leanne Townsend is the instructor and owner of The Safety Coach - First Aid/CPR Training. Leanne has had many years of First Aid and CPR in all the years she practiced as a nurse, and brings to her classes all the caring and understanding that she used throughout her 10 years of nursing. During that time she also took her massage therapy course but continued on with her nursing career. Leanne is currently happily "retired" from nursing. Leanne also has a technical background. Since 1984, she has been involved backstage as a technician in film, theatre and live music, and has worked for many of the shows at the Rexal, Commonwealth, Jubilee Auditorium, Winspear, and the Citadel Theatre. Currently Leanne is a member of IATSE Local 210 in Edmonton. For a brief period of time, Leanne also operated a day home, and has had the opportunity to use other day homes for the care of her two young sons.
