Your Host & Guide Alberta s Fall Flight is owned and operated by John Aiello. John has been hunting for ducks and geese over the past 20 years. With degrees in Physical Geography and a post degree program as a Fish and Wildlife technician, he has a comprehensive understanding of waterfowl behaviour. John has worked with Ducks Unlimited, where he observed waterfowl habitat and mating behaviour. His knowledge of waterfowl hunting is vast and he knows where to find birds! John has a hands-on operation that specializes in providing hassle-free hunting for Canada Geese, Mallards and Pintail ducks. He constantly strive to perfect every aspect of the hunt. He uses the finest decoys available, and is the best there is at crushing geese and ducks! "Nobody shoots them like Johnny! " The Season The season starts in early September with the migration starting by late-September and lasting until the early December. The Experience This unique 3-day experience includes 5-6 fully guided hunts, with lodging, meals and pick-up from the Calgary International Airport. With several direct flights daily from San Francisco, LA, Houston, Denver, Chicago and many other major centers, Calgary is a convenient location to fly into. Upon arrival in Calgary, a member of our staff will take you to your hunting destination. The Daily Schedule Each morning, hunters arise before dawn and start the day with a continental breakfast and coffee. Your guide will then take you to your pre-scouted field. There, decoys will be readied just before the arrival of the first flight of waterfowl. At Alberta s Fall Flight, your hunting experience will be fully guided. After the morning shoot you and your guide will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoons are open for relaxing and preparing for the evening duck shoot. Your evening shoot usually begins 1 to 1
