ABC Music Factory is a program that is based on new and proven research in child development. WithBooks, CD s, Games, and Instruments which nurture skills in the whole child: cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language. In an ABC Music Factory Class, educators lead a group of parents and their children through joyful activities, using music and movement at it’s core. Parents learn more about their child s unique developmental process, and the shared learning experience creates a unique bond as the child associates learning with fun and musical play. -The learning process continues at home, guided by books, CDs, and games. -Movement and dance activities improve coordination and balance. -One-on-one parent and child interaction nurtures self-esteem. -Music making and music listening activities develop self-discipline, as well as critical and creative thinking skills.There are so many benefits of music for your young child. Carolyn has been teaching young children since 1995 and she loves every minute of it. With her pure joy of young children and her enthusiasm for music, this has combined to make a truly unique and inspiring program. Affectionately referred to as Miss Carolyn by the children, started her music journey as a young child, singing non-stop (driving her brothers crazy) and following in her mom s footsteps with the love of music. Since her mom was serious about music it made Miss Carolyn really love it too! (thanx Mom) After years of piano lessons, Carolyn decided to further her music education and attended Grant McEwan College in Edmonton that has a notable Music Department. Carolyn graduated from Grant McEwan with Honours and two degrees, a Performance Diploma and Recording Diploma. She then moved to Vancouver to work towards her Bachelors Degree at Capilano College in Jazz Studies. Carolyn has also attended the Justice Institute in New Westminster studying Early Child development and conflict resolution, later working as a Social Worker with the Squamish Indian Band. Since 1998 when Miss Carolyn first started teaching the Kindermusik Program with only 16 students and 2 classes, has built and developed a very successful program and company called ABC Music Factory, now with hundreds of students and licensed ABC Music Instructors spreading the ABC Music Factory philosophy, what a joy this journey has been. Miss Carolyn continues to work developing new and exciting programs to bring the very best to all those families with young children and share with them the joy of music. top
