Over the next fifty (50) years, the Zunenshines transformed the modest resources of a small private company into a business empire spanning real estate development, construction, hotels and building materials. Today s Belcourt Property Management Inc. and Belcourt Properties Inc. remains under the day-to-day control of one of its original founders, Michael Zunenshine. Company history Named after a small town in central France, Belcourt?s first ventures were the construction of flats and apartment buildings in the Montreal suburb of Ville St. Laurent. By the late 1950?s, the company realized the potential for single-family dwellings in Montreal?s west island. Over the next twenty (20) years, Belcourt?s activities centered around the planning and development of residential communities, including the construction of over 5,000 rental units in Montreal, Ottawa and Kingston (Ontario), four thousand five hundred (4,500) single family homes in the Montreal area.
