Prior to founding Tungle, Marc was Vice President of Business Development and Product Marketing for Nimcat Networks, a leader in peer-to-peer (P2P) communication applications, until its acquisition by Avaya Incorporated in September 2005. Marc was previously a venture capitalist at Innovatech Montreal where he oversaw investments in numerous telecommunication and software companies. As a venture capitalist, Marc s investments yielded a combined ROI of more than 125 percent. Prior to joining Innovatech, Marc co-founded Gytek Incorporated, an e-commerce software company in Waterloo, Canada, which he eventually sold to Entrade Incorporated, a NYSE company. He remained with Entrade as Chief Technology Officer. Marc also managed the launch of "Chapters.ca ", a leading Canadian portal. Marc earned an MBA from INSEAD, a master s degree in management sciences from the University of Waterloo, and a bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa. Jeffrey M. Hurst is a general partner and a co-founder of Commonwealth Capital Ventures. Jeff has more than 25 years of venture capital and private equity experience. His investment activity has been focused on early stage technology and service companies with an emphasis on all aspects of the software industry. Jeff also has experience in the communications infrastructure, information technology, and analytical systems industries. Before co-founding Commonwealth in 1995, Jeff was a senior vice president with GE Capital s Corporate Finance Group. Jeff previously served as a managing partner of Cox Partners, a private equity firm in Dallas, after starting his career with Bankers Trust Company in New York City. Jeff earned a BA in History and Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Tulane University. Jeff is also a member of the Trinity College Board of Visitors of Duke University and an advisory board member of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Duke s Fuqua School of Business.
