What role do men have to play in ending violence against women? What do we have to learn from men doing progressive women s rights work in the global south? What are you doing to mark this years 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women? We are excited to bring our Nicaragua-based partner, Asociación de Hombres Contra la Violencia (Association of Men Against Violence - AHCV) to Saskatoon for a FREE public event. Juan Benicio Jiménez VГsquez and José Lenin MuГ±oz Gallegos will be here to teach us in a cooperative union of learning. They will be discussing the challenges and successes that they have experienced in their work with AHCV in Nicaragua. The talk will discuss challenging cultural and communal ideologies around gender roles and violence, and illustrating the importance of citizens creating change in their own communities. There will be FREE refreshments provided and an opportunity to engage with AHCV after the talk. This event is child-friendly and wheelchair accessible.
