Anchor Parachutes have been on the market since 1997. These parachutes began life through a need to supply a local rocketry flying group with reliable parachutes for their rocket projects. Over time, things evolved into a more formal product for the greater rocketry community. The local group flew all the initial designs and enjoyed reliable performance. They made sure we had a great parachute system before we went to market. Gradually, the parachutes were sold to customers in USA, England and Canada. Our parachutes even made it back from a rocket launch to 20,000 feet flown by Allen Upward when we started business as Trajectory Hobby Supply in 1998. Trajectory Hobby Supply closed it s business in December 1999 and in 2001 our parachutes were made under the product name of SkyHook Parachutes for one year. In 2002 the business changed its name Anchor Parachutes and this is the way it shall stay. Building a quality rocketry product for individuals in a custom order way has been the business of choice. It seems that customers are individuals and need chutes that match the uniqueness of the rockets that they fly. In 2005 the business moved to the USA where Jeffrey Miller now carries the banner and has developed Anchor Parachutes into a more recognizable product line. Our chutes are now made in Alabama, USA and Manitoba, Canada to better serve the North American market.
