Phil Hersee, Internationally Acclaimed Photographer, was trained in England. He was one of the youngest Canadian Photographers inducted in to the American Photographic Hall of Fame in 1982. Hersee founded his Canadian company in 1969 and is receiving world wide recognition for his photography. Philip Hersee s International Photography includes : Advertising, Entertainment, People, Corporate, Sports, Fashion, Travel, Events, Weddings, Fine art and more. Phil s work has appeared in the British Vogue, National Geographic, Popular Photography, New York, The British Journal of Photography and many other international magazines and books. Among his various achievements, Hersee was chosen to be the official Expo 86 photographer, where he also covered Charles and Diana opening this memorable event in British Columbia. He was also invited to England to join the Buckingham Palace team for the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and was able to capture the cover image of them leaving Westminister Abbey for a newspaper supplement the next day. Philip Hersee also joined the Haida on the River Seine in Paris, where he was invited by Bill Reid, the Haida Carver, to photograph the show "Les Ameriques", directed by the Anthropologist Claude Levi Strauss, at the "Muse del Homme". A special book on this unique journey will be published in the future. Hersee has also photographed and published several books. His first book was Feminque, a black and white book on women that gave him international recognition from Popular Photography in New York, Photokina in Germany and The Britishi Journal of Photography in London. Phil also published the award winning coffee table book "Touch the Magic", a hard cover book that captures the spirit of Vancouver, its people and places. "Touch the Magic" quickly became a best seller, with over 40,000 copies sold. A treasured gift recieved by people around the world. Presently Phil Hersee continues his passion for photography with an exciting mix of assignments which can range from Hollywood, Corporate to Advertising.
