Nov 2, 2010 Skate Sharpening Now at The Zone Training! The Zone Training has partnered with John Lake of J-Tek (formerly CMJ Mfg Inc) and he will be operating a small skate sharpening / pro shop at our facility. John has over 20 years experience in the skate sharpening industry and has sharpened for NHL players such as Sydney Crosby, Sergei Gonchar, Evgeni Malkin, JS Gigueire, Kevin Weekes, Marc Andre Fleury and Roberto Luongo. His sharpenings and contour work are second to none and this will be the top choice for skate sharpening services in our region. Currently he is offering Contouring ($45), Player sharpening ($6) and goalie sharpening ($7). HST included. We will be offering other repairs to skates along with other miscellaneous products over the coming weeks. Hours of operation are 4:30pm - 8:30 (Monday - Friday), 8:00am - 12:00pm (Saturday) and Closed on Sunday. Note: The Zone Training does not administer skate drop offs and this skate sharpening service is operated independently by John Lake. This is truly the Ultimate Power Skating Program - featuring (4) 1 hour Treadmill Sessions during weeks 1-4 followed by (4) On-Ice Sessions in weeks 5-8 players will no doubt finish this program with an excelerated and more efficient skating stride. Kody Kirton will be teaching the Treadmill sessions and Mary-Alice Martin will be running the on-ice sessions. This program will allow players to take their stride to another level by perfecting their forward stride on the treadmill then taking that to the ice where they ll build on the forward stride and incorporate backward skating and cross overs. Don t Miss Out on this Unique program only offered at the Zone! The Program will run on Wednesday nights and during the first 4 weeks you ll have a choice between 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm (first come first serve on the time) - the ice portion will be at 7:30pm. We also have posted a new Intro to Elite Performance Power skating which is for 6-7 year old players and it will run Tuesday nights at 6:30pm beginning October 5th.
