The Orford Arts Center s Music Academy has, for the past 57 years, offered outstanding and talented students, the opportunity to work with the finest teachers who come to us from all over the world. This season is no exception as we welcome marvellous artists and pedagogues such as vocal coaches Gerald Martin Moore and Michael McMahon, violinists Jean-Pierre Wallez and Koichiro Harada, pianists John Perry and Anton Kuerti, flutist Robert Langevin and clarinettist James Campbell among others. In all, more than 40 teachers and masters of exceptional reputation will be on hand to work with the hundreds of gifted and talented students who come each year to the amazing 220 acre estate which is the Orford Arts Centre. Located in the heart of Orford Provincial Park in the Eastern Townships, just outside of Montreal, we also offer many scholarship opportunities, good food and excellent performance possibilities for our students. Along with master classes and teaching sessions our Sound Arts, String Quartet and Chamber Music programs return this season. We have added the North American Viola Institute and a contemporary music performance program as well as the Jeunesses Musicales World Youth Orchestra program to our activities.
