The Algoma Music Camp was the dream of the late Ed Gartshore, a highly regarded Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario violin and orchestra instructor. It was Ed Gartshore s love of watching young musicians develop confidence in their musical abilities that drove him to establish and nurture the camp. Ed s professional contacts with musicians throughout North America served him in forming a superb faculty. The result has been the influencing of hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to professional music careers.
