Our gardens are now well past peak bloom. Late blooming cultivars are still putting on a show and we are seeing sporadic rebloom. Rebloom in Canada is definitely better some years than others, and the relatively cool temperatures this July have not been conducive to plants putting out a lot of rebloom scapes. September is a perfect month to plant daylilies, ensuring exceptional bloom next season. The still warm soil temperatures allow roots to establish through the autumn. Our experience has been that Late Summer & Early Autumn Plantings emerge from the ground in spring as strong as, or better than long established plants. We still have over a thousand Container Grown plants and are happy to ship bare root plants up until mid September. Our Container grown plants, and the plants in the ground have never looked as lush and healthy as they have this year. Our two gallon containers have multifan clumps in them, and there is an extensive selection of one gallon containers to choose from. We are more than happy to have visitors view the gardens, and we are more than happy to have customers pick up plants. Visits and pickups are by appointment only.
