Amythos Films , an independent documentary production company was established in Israel in 1993 and in 2004 moved its head offices to Toronto Ontario in Canada. Films produced by Amythos Films were presented in numerous film festivals and won prizes in Israel (three times winner of the Israeli Academy Award for St Jean 1993, Baba Luba 1995 and Pick Up a Card by Julie Shles in 1997 and the Doc Aviv Best film Award for Sumud by Ayelet Dekel in 2001) as well as the prestigious "Golden Fipa" award 2003 for Purity by Anat Zuria in Biarritz, and the Joris Ivens Award 2003 for Checkpoint by Yoav Shamir in IDFA, Amsterdam. Our projects were released theatrically ( The Specialist by Eyal Sivan and Ronny Brauman) and were broadcast by major international networks.
