To enhance the quality of life of adult learners by assisting them to meet their goals: of further education, independenceand job readiness through improved:literacy, mathematics, self management and self-direction. Who we serve: APNLC offers Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS)programs to adults free of charge. Assistance to anyone who needs to improve reading, writing, math, or basic computer skills. An intake interview and assesment determines student eligibility. Enrollment is continuous throughout the year. Walk-ins accepted but appointments are prefered. What we have achieved: Since 1985, APNLC has contributed to community building by offering learners the opportunity to develop the skills needed to enhance their lives, while fostering opportunities to become part of a community. Learners are encouraged to volunteer at the APNLC, serve on Centre s Board of Directors and participate in other programs.
