Alicia brings a wealth of experience in financial management, accounting, human resources and general management to the burgeoning natural cleaning market. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto, Alicia earned her CA status at Deloitte & Touche in Toronto. Throughout her globe-trotting career Alicia has worked as a finance manager at Bank of America, launched joint ventures in Europe and her native country Poland, and performed due diligence for venture capital companies. When she began a family, Alicia s passion for healthy living, organic foods and natural products, combined with her interest in sustainable business practices prompted her to begin researching alternatives to toxic cleaning practices. In 2003 Alicia decided to share her vision of a non-toxic natural home by launching AspenClean from her new home base in West Vancouver, British Columbia. The company hit the ground running; in less then two years AspenClean has grown to serve over 600 households in Vancouver and the North Shore. Alicia s firm dedication to research and development of natural cleaning products and practices prompted her discovery of a unique, extremely effective all-natural cleaning product made from seaweed. In October 2005 AspenClean launched its first line of natural cleaning products and high quality microfibre cloths. With years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Chris brings his broad technical knowledge to the AspenClean team. After earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto, Chris got his start as a Project Manager for Northern Telecom in Brampton, Ontario. Over the course of his career Chris has lived and worked in the United States, Europe and Asia as a cellular network Design Engineer, Manager and Head of an Engineering Eepartment for Vodafone-Airtouch and British Telecom. His life-long environmental awareness, love of the outdoors and active lifestyle, which includes skiing, swimming, hiking, biking and running, led Chris to brainstorm a green business concept with Alicia that would help consumers create healthy non-toxic homes while protecting the environment from a polluting industry. One of Chris s most recent projects includes discussions with Canadian government health officials regarding possibilities for non-toxic cleaning practices in daycares and schools.
