Ken Hicks, B.Sc. (Honors), P.Geo, is the President of Argentex. He has successfully directed the company s exploration programs in Argentina since March 2004. Since graduation in 1982, Mr. Hicks has worked extensively throughout North and South America for major mining companies such as Falconbridge Limited and mid tier Cu-Au producers such as Imperial Metals Corporation. Among his credits, Mr. Hicks was directly involved in the discovery of the 5034 diamondiferous kimberlite for Mountain Province Diamonds in the NWT, Canada. DeBeers Canada has a joint venture with the company and is currently undertaking a feasibility study on the 5034 pipe. Mr. Hicks has undertaken extensive work in South America, specifically Argentina in which he has consulted for a host of junior companies. Mr. Hicks has successfully directed multi-million dollar exploration programs and in 2001 founded Frontera Geological Services Limited which provides consulting services worldwide. He is a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Vanry is responsible for Argentex’s corporate development activities, including the forging of new relationships with institutional investors, raising capital to fund the next phase of development, an expanded marketing program, and assisting with corporate governance and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Argentex, Mr. Vanry was involved in institutional equity sales in London, UK, for 10 years with a specific focus on the natural resource sector. Mr. Vanry spent five years as Managing Director and Head of Equity Sales for Canaccord Adams. Under his leadership, Canaccord Adams became the number one investment dealer for distribution of Canadian equity and equity-linked products to European Investors. Prior to that, he was Vice President of US Equity Sales for Raymond James Limited, also based in London. In addition, Mr. Vanry’s background includes work as Vice President of Equity Sales for Goepel McDermid (now Raymond James Canada) and as an Associate in Scotiabank International’s Latin American banking group. He holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a BA from the University of British Columbia.
