("Asia Now" or the "Corporation")(TSXV: NOW) announces the appointment of Chan Wing Kwong (commonly known as Wing Chan) as a new member of its board of directors to replace Lieng-Seng Wee, who has resigned from Asia Now s board. Mr. Chan has broad experience in finance, investment and business strategy in China and the Asia Pacific region and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance & Development of the Lippo group of companies in Hong Kong. Mr. Chan holds a Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School at MIT and a B.A. in Electrical and Information Science from Cambridge University. Asia Now president Dr. Kaihui Yang, commented "We welcome Mr. Chan to our board and believe that his management experience will be of significant value to Asia Now as it continues to implement its exploration and development plans" Mr. Chan is a board appointee of China Gold Pte. Limited ("China Gold") pursuant to its existing director appointment rights under a letter agreement between China Gold and Asia Now dated August 7, 2008. Mr. Chan s appointment is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. Mr. Wee has stepped down as a director of the Corporation due to his heavy commitments to other organizations.
