SOLUTION Positive s Pharmilink Healthcare division was called on to develop a modified sample management system, combined with a web interface, that allowed samples to be allocated by reps, who were then able to manage their customers sample requirements. This web based interface offered the ability to view historical sampling activity and, by adding a process to import sales data by customer into the same system, reps were able to relate sampling activity to sales volume on a customer-by-customer basis. With information at their finger tips, reps could now effectively manage their territory sample allocations, placing customer orders on-line and, where necessary, set-up automatic shipments at pre-set frequencies based on individual customer needs.
