Bramalea Lions Club was charterd in 1962, the club became a major player in community events almost from inception. Youth activities and sporting events (hockey, baseball, soccer, etc.) was and remains one of the clubs active roles. Our Health and Welfare Committee provides assistance to such organizations as Canadian Blood Services, Salvation Army, Peel Memorial Hospital and a host of others, as well as individuals requests for assistance. Through the Education Committee, we annually provide six secondary schools with two scholarships each, to aid deserving students in their quest for advanced learning. This is a long-term commitment to the youth of Bramalea, and one we embrace willingly. As times change, our focus on various activites change to match, and nothing reflects this more than in the recent years where we became a sponsor for the Air Canada Dreams Take Flight program. To date; we have sent 54 deserving children to experience a "Dream Come True".
