I am the proprietor of Biedermann Packaging, a Canadian company based in Dundas since 1873. We formulate and package powered and granular products for the home and garden market. Since its inception, the company name and owners have had a number of changes but our commitment to the community has not changed. Biedermann Packaging Inc. is a proud member of the Dundas community and is committed to the protection or our families, our neighbours and our environment. Our employees and their families live, work and contribute to the neighbourhood we inhabit. On July 26, 2007, there was a fire at our facility. Both in containing the fire and mitigating any environmental impact, we participated fully with the authorities including the first responders and subsequent inspection teams. We maintain compliance with federal, provincial and municipal regulations. We are regularly inspected by numerous government agencies, such as the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Ontario Ministry of Labour, and Health Canada . We also work closely with local fire departments to implement inspections, audits and training tours and to familiarize them with our physical layout and contents. In addition to adhering to our regulatory requirements, we are also committed to meeting industry standards.
