Jason and Alita Bentley began the home based business of Be Gifted Baskets in December of 2004. The idea for creating the business was founded upon the belief that a gift should thrill both the gifter and the gifted. The Bentleys believe that gift giving should be fun and stress-free. We str! ive to tailor our gifts and gift arrangements to be unique, useful and classy: we ve got something for every individual. In June of 2005 Be Gifted Baskets expanded their venture to a street vending booth. Armed with approval from Invermere Town Council and a portable booth, we set up shop on the corner of Dysfunction Junction by the CIBC in the downtown core. Both locals and tourists took advantage of the numerous gift giving ideas we offered. The street vending booth retired on the September long weekend, as our latest expansion got underway. Opportunity to move into an Invermere downtown storefront presented itself in August of 2005; so began the efforts to turn the small retail space into a shopping haven. Finally after many late nights, overloads of stress, lots of sweat, debates and fun, Be Gifted was ready for a soft opening on Thanksgiving weekend. Since then, we have appreciated fabulous feedback and support from both locals and tourists alike and had a successful Grand Opening Event on November 18th.
