Welcome to the Brian Webb Dance Company ’s 32nd season of contemporary dance. Our offering includes new dances by some of Canada ’s leading dance companies as well as the introduction of dance artists Edmonton has never experienced before. Contemporary dance is one of Canada ’s leading cultural exports. Several of the companies performing in our season this year are touring the world. With our colleagues in Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg, we are introducing a new initiative, the Prairie Dance Circuit. Selected dance artists from each community will tour to all four cities. Dance made on the prairies is bold and creative. I am confident that you will find this new program a real pleasure. New dance... the adventure of the new... the dancing body as a powerful means of communication... are themes that best describe our season.
