Seeking Three Sisters (and their favourite Russian soldiers!) On Thursday Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Durham Shoestring Performers will hold a public audition at the Arts Resource Centre behind Oshawa City Hall for 14 roles in Nicholas Wright’s modern version of Chekhov’s classic comedy, Three Sisters. Some critics have hailed this passionate tale of the pursuit of happiness as the greatest twentieth century play. In any case, there is opportunity for both beginning and veteran actors. The production will take place Jan. 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30 2010. Nine men and five women between the ages of 25 and 70 will be cast by director Judith Edmondson.
