Jon played his youth soccer as a goalkeeper all the way through North Delta Soccer, and his father Gord assisted for many years with the club. He then went on to play North Delta Mens Soccer with the North Delta Titans and then was promoted to the Premiere team as their starting keeper. Our thoughts go out to the family Gord, Alice, Russ and Mike. They were all a big part of the soccer family in North Delta. Services will be held on Sunday November 14 at 11:00 am at Valley View Funeral Home 14660 72 Ave, Surrey. Jon was a little man with a big heart, and will be sorely missed, by the soccer community. NDYSC U17 Gold United are going to Vegas! In order to get there, they need $CASH$ and have come up with this fun fundraiser. Teams consisting of 6 players each will play 4-6 games of 3V3 soccer over 2 days during the holidays (Dec 28&29) with medals for the winners. Other fun contests are also planned! Tournament will only be cancelled if there is snow on the ground... Age groups are U10, U11, U12, U13 & U14 Boys AND Girls. Registration is $120/team and you can download the info here . Congratulations to Patrick Izett Former NDYSC player, Patrick Izett, has been named to the CSA National Training Center training group for 2010/2011. Patrick currently plays for the U14 Delta Selects A team and was also selected to the U13 Provincial team this last Spring. Patrick played his first two years of soccer in Calgary, followed by five years with NDYSC before moving onto the District Select team.
