As his family was seeking a better life, Jack Fazari arrived from Italy in 1956. After attending school for two and a half years he decided to help the family by going to work with his father and older brothers laying, installing and sanding hardwood flooring. After many years of working with hardwood flooring, Jack decided to get involved with the coatings industry. He wanted to provide the people with the best possible hardwood finish on the market. By 1969, he opened a paint store. This is where he acquired the experience and knowledge of the industry. By 1983, he opened a manufacturing plant. By 1998, along side his son Joe Fazari and other family members Torcan Coatings Incorporated was born.
