He graduated from the University of Regina with a B.A., Psychology, and from the University of Western Ontario with an M.B.A. (Ivey Business School). Mr. Arsenych has over 26 years of business experience in negotiations, project management, corporate finance, strategic planning, and economic evaluations in the energy business. During his tenure as a negotiator, he has concluded over $500 million of total transactions in the area of corporate mergers and acquisitions, property purchases and divestitures, equity and debt financing, joint ventures, and business development. Mr. Arsenych has coordinated new ventures in co-generation, district heating and cooling, crude oil refining, natural gas marketing, oil and gas pipelines and storage, and environmental services. Mr. Arsenych is President and Chief Executive Officer of CTI Resources Corporation, a private company based in Calgary which is deploying proprietary technology in the resource development (heavy oil development and upgrading) and resource recovery (oil field waste processing, waste-to-energy conversion) industries. He is also co-founder and Chairman of Ravenwood Energy Corp., a private oil and gas exploration and production company based in Calgary. These are his fourth and fifth successful ventures in the oil and gas field. He is also co-founder and Chairman of Prairie Biogas and Power Limited, a private company which is applying proprietary technology towards the waste-to-energy business in Canada and other parts of the World. He has also sat on the boards of several public companies. In 1997, Mr. Arsenych and his business partner David Beckwermert were recipients of the "Entrepreneur of the Year Award" for the emerging company category, Canadian Prairie Region. This was in recognition of their work in creating and growing Neutrino Resources Incorporated, a successful oil and gas company started in 1994 with $200,000 of risk capital and sold in 1998 for $83 million. In addition, Mr. Arsenych for ten years taught a senior course in oil and gas economics and strategy at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Management. During 1997-2002, Mr. Arsenych sat on the North American board of directors of FVB District Energy, a Swedish-based engineering firm that is a World leader in cogeneration, district heating, and district cooling design. During 2002 to 2006, Mr. Arsenych was Chairman of the EnerGreen Foundation, a non-profit organization that promoted renewable energy projects in developing communities. In August 2006, EnerGreen merged with Light Up The World Foundation, a non-profit organization that also promotes renewable energy in the developing World with an emphasis on solid state lighting. Mr. Arsenych is currently Chairman of Light Up The World. For his work with EnerGreen, Mr. Arsenych was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus for 2004 from Luther College in Regina.
