Williams Engineering s Yellowknife office purchases a new office building in downtown Yellowknife to accommodate employee growth and improved office space for client meetings. The Williams Engineering Canada Yellowknife office is looking forward to major changes in the coming months. On September 24, 2010, we moved from a small 2,445 ft2 residential office to an 8,600 ft2 commercial building located directly in downtown Yellowknife. The conveniently located building boasts a new and fresh look that gives our firm an engaging edge we can use to compliment our exceptional client service. Not only is the building aesthetically pleasing, but the additional room gives employees more comfortable and professional work spaces. Brian George, Arctic Regional Director explained, "While the existing building served our employees well for many years, once our Yellowknife office grew to 20 employees the office became uncomfortably cramped. The new building will create a more accommodating space that will attract and allow for future additional employee growth." As the current owners of the building, our Yellowknife office will now enjoy a great view from the top two floors of this three-storey building. The new building will provide our employees with not only more office space, but a lunchroom, two meeting rooms, and two boardrooms. Plans are also in process for a workout room which will without a doubt serve as a major morale booster during the cold Yellowknife winter months. In 1989 Williams Engineering first opened its doors in Yellowknife and for the past 21 years has been a key presence in the northern engineering industry. With the recent acquisition of the new building, the Yellowknife office has taken a big step from the small three person entourage it began as, to the multifaceted 20 team that it is today.
