He graduated from U.P.E.I. in 2006 with a Bachelor of Education degree, specializing in Aboriginal Education. Adam spent the past four (4) years teaching full-time in Alberta and Prince Edward Island and is excited to have the opportunity to work with the Native Council of PEI. Adam has a passion for working with children of all ages and is looking forward to meeting and learning from our Island s Aboriginal youth. She is a Mi Kmaq from Scotchfort and was born and raised here on our beautiful homeland. Cora was raised Traditional and remains a Traditional Mi kmaq woman. Both her parents are well respected Elders of their own Native communities. Cora has 5 wonderful brothers and 1 amazing sister. Cora has been a single mother to two amazing young men Justin and C.J , she also has two amazing grandsons Hunter and Cohl. Cora has traveled many places and worked many jobs (mostly with elderly, disabled and youth). "The most satisfying job is where you can help just that one person. I love to help people in every way I can. I love to see people smile. My gift in life is to be there to make a difference even for that one person. The kindness and compassion I have seen from those special people who take the time to offer whatever they can has been just over whelming. Janet Gallant Office Administrator Janet Gallant graduated from Kensington Intermediate Senior High School in 2000. After graduating from high school, Janet became very active within the Native Council. She has been a member of the council for 13 years and has been an employee since 2001. Janet is currently working as the office administrator as well as assisting the finance department with data entry. Janet takes great pride in her children and enjoys volunteering at the Annual Abegweit Pow-wow held in Panmure Island. In 2005, Jane graduated from UPEI with her Education Degree with a specialization in Aboriginal Education. Jane started at the Native Council of Prince Edward Island in October 2009.
