The company was built on the strength of an uncompromising commitment to quality with the goal to become a global leader in remote database administration and project database administration solutions. The roots of The DBA Shoppe extend back to 1992 in Burlington, Ontario with the founding of DRB Consulting and Services Incorporated, an information technology services company. DRB specialized in software configuration management and over time was inundated with database administration work, eventually spawning an entire department of DBAs to handle the requests. The DBA department honed its methods and processes and made initial proposals to operate as a separate company in 1999. With its incorporation in 2004, the DBA Department officially became The DBA Shoppe Limited The DBA Shoppe s Database Administrator Consultants (DBACs) are considered some of the best in their fields, all certified by at least one of the major database vendors, currently Oracle, IBM and Microsoft. This and the processes that were developed over time and through experience ensure that every client s database receives the specialized attention it deserves. Since 2004 The DBA Shoppe has rapidly expanded from a small DBAC team, operating out of subletted office space into an international supplier of database administration services with a corporate head office located in Burlington, Ontario.
