I am completely disgusted with the poor ethics and lack of professionalism my family received from New Path Family Services in Barrie, Ontario. I found them to be rude and lacking in knowledge of how to properly deal with children in need.
I had taken both of my kids there for services after they experienced some trauma and loss and wanted to help them as any parents would. Well these so called therapists actually made things worse. To start off my daughter who is only 6 was terrified to see her therapist so I decided to send my recorder in her coat pocket and was shocked with what I heard. We are planning to take legal action, anyone can email me if you wish to hear the recording.
My son sadly got very little service the therapist spent more time just sitting quietly watching him sit in his chair or she worked at her computer.
I have taken them both to another agency in the area and recommend anyone using New Path or thinking about please do your kids and self a favour and go elsewhere why waste precious time and why cause more pain and suffering to your children.
