Company pays their employees lowest wage in the city for a clinic setting!!!

I worked for this company for 9 months for $35/hour. Generally in a massage therapy clinic they will provide clients, and products used while generating a 60/40% split between the therapist and the clinic. At this location the clinic is making well over 50%! This leaves the therapists overworked and definitely underpaid! I worked 5 hours a day doing anywhere from 5-7 massages, 5 days a week. This owner was collecting over $5000-$6000 a month from my wages alone. There are over 8 different therapists working there making her well over $30, 000 a month.

When I asked for a raise she told me all my money was going back into the clinic! This owner is overworking her employees, she requires a months notice for one day off, and a doctor's note if you are sick for any reason. She is rude and immature, and treats her staff like slaves. Then when one stands up for themselves, she starts screaming at you like a child. This is a warning to all massage therapists... do not work at this clinic!!!

She goes through 10-15 therapists a year due to her poor management skills! DO NOT WORK FOR HER! She lies about pay during the interview and she lies about clients. She steals from her other therapists clients so you appear busy your first month, then you are down to one... maybe two massages a day! Clients! Do not support this clinic! You find an awesome therapist that will be gone within months. Don't waste your time and money at this clinic! The therapist work too hard to get such poor pay!
