Andy Hoffer, Rugeritis EBAY SCAM ARTIST! BEWARE!

On April 7th I won an auction on Ebay from the above seller. His ebay name is Rugeritis.

The auction was for a 15.4 wide screen LCD screen. With shipping the cost was $76. On April 10th payment was sent to his PO Box. He assured me he would ship the following Wednesday.

On April 25th he deposited the check. 5 Days later MY BANK cleared the check, and sent me a front and back copy.

At that time Mr. Hoffer was sent said copy and again I asked when the item would ship but I was told the check had not cleared but he would check on Friday. On May 4th I emailed Mr. Hoffer for an update and received the following response "Don't file a complaint or I will make it so you can't bid anymore" I then filed an initial complaint with Ebay. He responed check still hadn't cleared... he would again check on Friday.

May 9th I sent an email requesting again a shipping date, but that email was no responded too.

May 10th I contacted ebay to file a fraud report only to be advised that he was no longer a registered user.

I am now filing charges with both the Canadian Authorites and the US FBI. Just beware when dealing with Ebay. They claim to protect you, but in the end its so easy to get screwed!
