Wet clothes in bags

Hi there, my name is gagandeep kaur sandhu.i flew from amritsar, punjab (india) to toronto.my flight was on 14th of august, 2010. at 6:35a.m. from amritsar.my flight was delayed for about 90min. due to heavy rain.i reached at the toronto airport at 5:01pm on 14th of august, 2010.we were staying in toronto till wednesday.we had a plan to go to niagra fall next day on 15th.when i checked my bag in the morning, i found my both bags are wet.my ten silk suits, my husband three shirts & specially my precious wedding dress has been totally spoiled & now its worth of nothing.that was worth of 150000 rupees (3800CAD$).im so dipressed. i called airindia they said to call another number then i tried that number yesterday couple of time & i left the message nobody called me back.so i do not know what to do? should i go to the newspaper or should i go to media.because they were getting heavy rain in india at that timewhen they got the bags in the plane with very poor system, thats not my fault.please advise my how can i get the claim or if they do not give me one then how can i take the legal action against them.thanks.please reply me soon.
