Over Taxed at Smile

Yesterday, Tuesday August 16, 2011, I was surprised that all of your main street's restaurants were closed at 5:30 pm. I noticed a sign on the sidewalk which pointed to a parking lot behind your main street and had dinner at Smile Indian Restaurant & Meat Ltd. at Unit no.1 5723 176st, Cloverdale, the entrance of which is behind other buildings north of the Firehall and east of the Legion in a small parking lot.

When I asked for a receipt, the 40 year old owner didn't give me one until I asked again. However, it was unmarked with none of his business information on it. I asked him to write down the address and phone number and stamp it, which he reluctantly did, taking more than 5 minutes to 'look' for a stamp which reads "Deposit to the Credit of SMILE INDIAN RESTAURANT & MEAT LTD. TR # 14910-909 ACC.#30-011-956-0

He over charged me 22 % of the total bill of $15.99 and adding another $3.52 which he later told my friend who came back with me asking him why the tax was 22 % not 12 % HST.

As as result of his not listening, refusal to explain why he overcharged me 22% tax lying that he 'gave' me 6 take out containers, when I only took 1 and 3 very tiny round lidded ones to keep the sauces from spilling out of the ordinary sized take out container that most restaurants give without ever chargeing for; I shall not be doing any business in Cloverdale, if this is an example of the type of 'business' that's done in your town.
