I am an ex-employee of Moneta Canada, Zcom Canada & Starz1 Vending Solutions which is located in Mississauga, Ontario and owned be Simon Ham.

THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY A BIG SCAM!
I worked there for one month and quit upon discovering just how bad Simon scams EVERYONE, from his clients to his own staff.

Here's the scoop - the company sells all sorts of turnkey vending machine packages: coffee vending machines, pop & snack machines, prepaid calling card machines, and payphones. The vending machine turnkey packages sell for about $8, 000 - $10, 000 per machine and includes setup, installation and A VARIETY OF LOCATIONS TO CHOOSE FROM along with one year support.

His advertising targets different minority groups of newcomers to Canada, Mainly Southeast Asian and Chinese new immigrants.

THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS: There are usually very few or NO LOCATIONS at all to choose from. He sells the business package but will under no circumstance SHOW the client any options for locations they can choose from. He convinces the client that there is a huge selection of profitable locations to choose from and shows them EXISTING locations where machines are placed. He both hard-sells and sweet-talks the client for 3-4 hours and wears them down (like a used car salesman) and once he receives your non-refundable deposit, he's a completely different person with you. He doesn't want to know you then. You'll NEVER get back your deposit if you change your mind. Good luck getting any service. Your machine might not even be installed for 3 - 6 months because he doesn't have any locations for you. So you might take a loan from the bank and then make payments for over 6 months before even having your machine installed. With regards to the revenue, very few people see any success with their vending machines. The average coffee machine brings in $50 - $100 per month. NOT the $500 - $1000 which is claimed.

I've seen first hand how this company does business. I've seen the clients come to the office on a daily basis to complain about the service they get or that they're not making any money or that the machine doesn't work or keeps breaking down, and I've also seen the type of horrible service they receive from Moneta Canada and how the clients are treated.

The company has recently changed locations and phone numbers.

What company with ANY integrity changes their address and phone number and doesn't tell it's existing clients they've moved?!

Moneta Canada is also in violation of the Ontario Labour Standards.

Before hiring, their staff is given the impression that they will be an employee but then they make them sign away all their labour rights (including Canada Pension Plan & Unemployment benefits) by signing an Independent Contractor Agreement, when in fact, they are employees by every definition. To get away with this, he hires mainly new-comers to Canada who are un-aware of their labour rights and forces them to work up to 54 hours a week with NO overtime.
